It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of my teacher and friend, TKV Desikachar, at his home in Chennai, India on August 8, 2016. He was a remarkable mentor who treated each student as an individual, designing practices and imparting teachings so subtly relevant to the moment and to one’s specific needs. I am deeply grateful for the 40 years of study with him, in India, Europe and the US. His legacy will live on through his students throughout the world. My thoughts go to his family as they bid him farewell.
